When Life Gets Too Hard | Matthew 11:25-30
The best thing about Christianity
Let’s be honest.
Life ain’t easy.
Inflation is making everything more expensive, the news is all negative, and social media is making us all lonelier.
Yet, Christians can rely on something outside of this present reality.
And that comfort is worth the trouble.
25 At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Those who understand what Jesus came down to do have a cheat code - a way to deal with the immense stress and pressure of life.
We have someone to rely on who is above this world.
Someone who is the most reliable person to ever have lived.
Someone who is the only person to ever love others fully and unconditionally.
He who can take our suffering, our pain, and bear the weight of it in exchange for His peace and rest.
What a wonderful gift it is to know Jesus.
Have a blessed Friday, my friends!
